All I can say is thank goodness I have another two weeks in Greece, or there would be tears all over this keyboard. All the love I felt for this country on my brief but fabulous first visit has come flooding back, and if it weren’t for the euros that seem to magically fly out of my wallet on an hourly basis I might be considering a more permanent relocation.

Heather and I flew from Brussels to Athens in a fairly delicate state post-Tomorrowland, and found Santorini was the perfect place to heal. We took refuge in an adorable apartment at and spent most of our five nights there scheming ways to never leave the perfect volcanic isle. While I wasn’t ready to go, Athens was a welcome sight and a strategic location choice for one final hurrah for Heather and I before she takes off for Germany.

Onto Photo of the Week!

I get sad seeing all the octopuses drying out around the Mediterranean yet I can’t seem to stop photographing them. They are so graphic and visual and you just never get to examine them like that underwater (thought of course that is where I prefer to see them).

Fabulous photos, all of them, but Photo E really does it for me! …and hmmm… I’m observing a pattern for me when perusing your photos — my faves always include doors / doorways. …which got me curious, and so I spent some time pouring over my photos from last year’s adventure in Spain. Turns out, I have tons and TONS of photos of doors and doorways, from Sevilla to Cádiz to Barcelona to Madrid!! 😀 This has me considering “what’s next” within an entirely new [door]frame! And thanks to this post (and at least a few more to come I hope), Greece will surely be part of that picture!
