Another week, another set of beautiful images from Upstate New York. Last week I visited Corning and Keuka Lake, and this past week I hit up Rochester, Ithaca and Cayuga Lake, and finally returned to my hometown of Albany. I was so inspired by the beauty in my own backyard! I know a lot of you are East Coasters and I’m looking forward to sharing more about these awesome weekend getaway possibilities. I have a feeling I’ll be back to the Finger Lakes soon.

While I’m still buzzing with New York State pride, I actually just arrived in my home-away-from-home in Martha’s Vineyard, where we’re kicking off the opening of the summer season on the island. Hope my US readers are enjoying a beautiful and relaxing Memorial Day wherever you may be — and that the rest of you are just having a great ‘ol Sunday.

Indeed it is! But I didn’t find a single t-shirt saying so, much to my disappointment.

  • I’m a sucker for flowers, so have to go with A. And yay for bocce ball – not many people know what that is down here in the Southern US (I’m from Upstate NY and have Italian blood, so I know better) šŸ™‚

It was my first time actually playing! Not usually one for anything that involves hand eye coordination, but everything is fun with wine in hand…

Photo D… Glamping in Ithaca. I love the color of tulips and the idea of camping in a new and exciting area of the world just sounds fun.

Photo B is definitely my fav! Welcome back to NY! It’s funny, I grew up Upstate as well (Syracuse, represent!) but I haven’t spent hardly any time exploring the area surrounding! Some friends recently moved to Ithaca so perhaps I need to pay a visit..
