Portfolio and Press

I support my travels by working on the road — how I afford this is a frequent question. You can find more details in this post and this one too! Here is where to find some of my work around the web:

This blog is a virtual portfolio of my writing. You can find more examples of my work below. Please me about writing and photography opportunities!

I work as a freelance designer for clients around the globe. You can see my work for the prestigious travel site Gadling . I featured some of my travel related projects in this series. You can see some of my work at . Please  me if you are in need of help with a project, big or small!

In the past, I have worked as a photographer’s assistant in Grand Cayman, as well as an underwater videographer in the Cayman Islands and in Thailand. Today I work for companies like Tripfilms to produce original travel video content.

You can see examples of my videography in videos about The Big Island of Hawaii and One Week in Iceland.

I sell advertising on this blog, work with sponsors, and occasionally consult with brands and destinations. You can find more information here.

In my early travel days I worked as a bartender and a babysitter, handed out flyers for three dollars an hour and returned cans for five cent deposits. Whatever it takes to stay on the road! Here are some inspiring stories of how other travelers have found work abroad.
